I don’t know about ya’ll, but I love me a good brunch cocktail! However, I’m not much of a drinker. The taste of alcohol is so gross to me. But, there are a few cocktails that I actually enjoy. There is a special recipe at the end I’m super excited about. So read to the end for a treat!

Also, not all of these are from restaurants. I have a few recipes for my favorites to make at home. They are easy, affordable, and absolutely delicious! The best part is that you can add your choice of alcohol to suit your specific tastes. This is the best part of making drinks at home for me.

And don’t worry, these are much better than just mimosas! Which are nowhere near worth the hype. You’re welcome.

Cocktail 1: Blueberry Mash – stoli blueberi vodka, st. germain liqueur,
blueberries, fresh mint, fresh limes, splash of soda

I had this cocktail at Pinstripes in Chicago. It was so good! Plenty sweet and fruity. The ingredients I listed are direct from their website. If you’re like me and prefer your drinks on the lighter side, this is the option for you! Because I’m not much of a drinker, one was enough for me. But I would definitely have gotten two more if I could! They were that good.

Cocktail 2: Zombie Sangria – Torrontes, rum, passion fruit

So this one was from Michael Jordan’s steakhouse in Chicago. I’m not sure if it’s at this location still, but it is definitely at the Oak Brook location, unless their website isn’t updated.

Zombie is light on the alcohol, which again, is my preference. This was so fruity and sweet, highly recommend! Just a disclaimer though, this was about 10 years ago. That’s a long time for things to change. Rest assured, I’m going back in a couple of weeks. So if it has changed or something else is better, I will come back and update this as soon as I can. For now though, my opinion stands.

Cocktail 3: Christmas Punch by Grandbaby Cakes, recipe here

This is a drink you make at home yourself. The recipe is the base punch without alcohol. So you can add the alcohol of your choice like tequila or vodka. I prefer tequila personally, on the rare chance I make a drink at home.

To avoid diluting the flavor, I suggest replacing some of the water with the alcohol you want. Yes, it is fruity and sweet. But since you’re making it yourself, it can be just as fruity and sweet as you want (or don’t want). Wait to add the ginger ale as well. This can be just a personal serving for yourself or an entire pitcher for a brunch party. As long as you wait to add the ginger ale, it keeps very well in the fridge. This set is all you need to make amazing drinks! It also looks super cool.

Cocktail 4: Refreshing Watermelon Cocktail by Divas Can Cook, recipe here

Ya’ll. This drink right here? Yes. Oh yes. It’s sooo delicious, fruity, and summery! If you’re not a fan of watermelon, it’s easy enough to switch out the fruit to strawberry or even cherry. The world is your oyster! Let me calm down, I’m sorry.

As someone who has a drink maybe twice every other month, finding one I really enjoy is very rare. So believe me when I say this one will knock your socks off. If you’re trying to be fancy, I recommend this set.

Cocktail 5: Irish Cream Coffee, recipe here

Now, this is the pièce de résistance. It checks all of the boxes. Sweet, creamy, warming. I know that not everyone likes sweet and fruity cocktails. So this one is for you! Rich and filling, if you enjoy coffee, you’ll love this! Granted, if you don’t like sweet and creamy coffee, then you probably won’t like this. However, an Irish coffee might be just what you’re looking for!

The ingredients are super easy to get and no shaker required! The most you’ll have to do is whisk the cream for about 5 minutes till it’s thickened but not enough for peaks. We don’t want the cream to just sit on the surface, we want it to melt and mix into the drink. This recipe is absolutely lovely and one of my all time favs!

So that’s it, I hope you give these a try and tell me what you think below! If you have any additional suggestions or recipes, drop them below as well! I love hearing from my readers.😊

XOXO,
